Earth-Touch videos come in two formats: standard definition (SD) and high definition (HD). These terms refer to the resolution of the video. SD has a resolution of 854 x 480 pixels. This works well online, on your iPod or on regular TV screens. HD has a resolution of 1280 x 720 pixels. The higher the resolution, the clearer the video and the crisper the detail. HD looks best on big plasma and LCD screens.

Strong wind and a dark sky were precursors of a particularly powerful - and beautiful - storm in the Okavango Delta today.

This afternoon, while we had been filming a pair of little bee-eaters feeding actively on insects, we noticed a storm brewing on the eastern horizon.

The sky had cleared in the west and we decided to head towards the storm. These times, when the landscape, lit by the afternoon sun, is set against a dark and stormy sky, always make for dramatic images.

The storm built up quickly and we managed to capture some beautiful images of the electric green forest and savannah grassland against a deep, gun-metal sky.

The light and setting were spectacular and made one feel very small in the face of such powerful elements. A strong wind picked up and here in the Okavango Delta, this is always a precursor to the formidable summer storms.

We had a short window in which to capture this powerful beauty before being buffeted by what turned out to be a particularly violent storm. We thought it best to find some shelter and wait out the worst of it before heading back to camp.
